The universal Reformer
The Reformer provides finely tuned exercise that allows you to work very precisely to develop good alignment, core strength, and flexibility. The straps, springs, and box provide a variety of exercises in a variety of positions.
The Cadillac
Called the Cadillac because it became a client's favourite piece of equipment and for him nothing was better than a Cadillac! This apparatus has a repertoire that is quite impressive: from very specific and targeted exercises to the big advanced movements. We use the Cadillac for the more personal needs of a client, focusing on their needs or improving certain abilities.
The Ladder Barrel
Strengthening and stretching at the same time is one of the specialities of the Ladder Barrel. While working on alignment, it excels in allowing clients to reach their maximum range of motion without resistance or external pressure.
The High chair
Exercises performed on the High Chair are very similar to those on the Wunda Chair, but the High Chair provides more stability during the workout. This piece of apparatus is also known as "The Electric Chair" because "you are the electricity that makes it move."
The Arm chair
The Arm Chir is rarely seen in Pilates Studios but it provides a terrific workout for all levels. Using the arm springs, the chair moves with you while providing a gentle exercise.
The Wunda chair
Exercises on the Wunda chair are performed seated on top and pressing down on the pedal with your feet, others entail lying on the floor, standing straight up, lunging forward or doing push-up like movements with the arms. The Wunda chair is the Pilates version of home equipment, the chair can be converted to a real chair for sitting when turned around. Joseph Pilates said: "...the Wunda Chair belongs in every home and hotel in America".
The Mat
The mats are raised and cushioned to protect your spine. The Mat exercises are very “liberating” and loosen and strengthen the body with the body's own resistance.
The Pedipole
The Pedi-Pole was created by Joseph Pilates to help an opera singer improve her performance. The exercises on this apparatus improve posture, increase breath control and alignment. It is also used by clients to challenge balance and control.
The small barrel
The small barrel is used like the Spine Corrector for smaller clients or as a step towards it. More gentle, with a less pronounced arc, it allows the more fragile or tender individual to align and stretch and to open the chest increasing the breath: delicious.
